Emma's Bed time Story

Once upon a time there was a pony. He couldn't find his mommy, so he look and he looked and he finally found his mommy... Amen.

Last night this is the story that Emma told Luke and I. It was so cute I just had to share. I sure love the imagination of kids.

Update finally!

OK so here is the update. School is AWESOME! I absolutely love it. I have been going for a month and a half and I am already taking clients. I did a cut and highlight on a lady today and it was so fun. I am so excited to be finally doing this. Luke and the kids have been amazing. Emma loves going to her cousin Levi's house to play everyday and Riley is doing great at his babysitter's after school. He is doing so great in school he has gotten 100% on all of his spelling tests so far. He so did not get that from me! Luke is busy with work but has been great about helping out around the house since I am gone more now. I am so blessed. So here are some pictures of what is new.

As promised (a while ago) here are some pictures from Emma's Birthday.

My mom came for the party and brought my sister's daughter Kiersten for the party.
Mommy and the birthday girl. Oh how my hair has changed since then.
Bestest cousies and friends!

We went to Hop 2 it for Emma's party it was lots of fun.
Headed up the slide.
Cute friends, Emma & Kya
Ready to go down the slide!
Trying out her new outfit. Emma is such a princess and she is a joy and blessing to have in our family. I love her so much and am grateful for her everyday.

So much to tell....

I have so much to tell, I have been a big slacker and I apologize. First of all I want you all to know that I am finally following my dreams and going to Beauty School. I start tomorrow and I am so nervous. I should have done this 10 years ago but I kept finding excuses. I have tried many different things but all I have ever really wanted to do was cosmetology. My wonderful husband Luke decided it was time for me to do it. I quickly agreed and I enrolled in school. We had been trying for 7 months to get pregnant. Which if you know us, you know it doesn't take long for us. We figured this was a blessing because now I can go to school while my kids are old enough. Riley will be in school until 3 any way and Emma gets to go to my Brother's house and my sister -in-law Janae is going to watch her. Everything has fallen into place so perfectly that we know this is the right thing to do. Luke is going to build me a small salon in the 3rd bay of our garage and so I will always be able to work from home. It really is a dream come true. This next year is going to be tough going to school M-F from 9-5 but after it is done I will have the freedom to work from home at the hours I choose. So that is what is going on here. I just got back from a very fun weekend with all my sister-in-laws and mother-in-law. We went quilting in the Tetons! I still need to post Emma's Birthday pictures but since there are alot I will do it on my next post. Wish me luck, life is about to get very crazy for us for the next 12 months or so. So I might not be the best at posting but I will try to keep you all updated.

These are the blocks I learned how to make in our class.

Labor day weekend and more.

I decided to curl Emma's hair. It still is not long enough for the big sponge curlers so I bought some little ones. I did a practice run before we tried it for church. I think it turned out adorable!

All the curlers are in.

She slept just fine in them. I was worried. She insisted on sleeping on the air mattress.

After taking out the curlers.

After combing out the curls. Ummmmm can you say afro?

She was not thrilled.
I added a flower and I loved it but she still did not.

So we went for ponies. She had two little puff balls. After taking out the ponies.

Luke's buddy Ryan was a stud and got him a ticket to the big BSU/Oregon game. They were so pumped. BSU won occurs! GO BRONCOS.
We tailgated at Anne Morrison park. Ry was bummed he didn't get to go to the game.

For labor day weekend we finally got to use our new trailer. So we headed down to Aberdeen to camp at the boat dock. I grew up camping there and it is a great place for young kids.

Levi rode down with us. Look at those cuties. Luke and Grandpa Morgan roasting Mallows.

The mighty camper. We love it. Other than Luke tried to burn it down.... he somehow burned up some of the wiring and we thought we were going to have to evacuate! 1st time always has it's blips.

The kids love sleeping in the trailer.
We crammed 8 adults around the table and a card table for a mean game of hand and foot canasta. Look at my skinny daddy, for those of you who don't know, he lost 95 pounds. No surgery. We're so proud of him.

Trying to get all of us in a picture was a chore. Riley was our photographer.

Another post already?

I know I can hardly believe it myself! But I could not wait a minute to post my latest and greatest. I have been up late working on this new project. I found an antique ironing board at a yard sale today and paid just $2 and look what happened.....

A plain old ironing board? maybe......

Not any more... look how fun!

I saw a similar idea on a home make over show but I made it my own. Since the ironing board is metal it works as a magnet board.

The cans on the bottom were totally my idea, I didn't even know I had good ideas in my head!

Since it is in my Craft/sewing room I thought it would be perfect for holding all my "stuff". Of course I had to throw on some pictures of my cutie patudie kids and my sexy hubby!

Also yesterday Janae, Levi & Marshall came over and so the kids went swimming. They had a blast.

Such good friends!

Back to reality.

Well it seems like life is kind of back to normal. Riley went back to school today so hopefully that means I can get back on a schedule. It is strange having him gone all day, my house seems so quiet. Well... as quiet as a house can get with Emma in it! So here are a few pictures of what we've been up to.

Levi spent the night and this is how he and Riley slept.
Another project: washer necklaces. They are so fun to make. Not a good picture, sorry.
We told Emma to go and clean her room after trashing it... 5 minutes later this is what we found.

The kittens are now available for anyone who wants one. PLEASE!
So for the last day of summer vacation, Riley wanted to go bowling, so we headed to Filer for the kids bowl free. The kids had a blast.
Riley and Ethan.
Emma and Mommy.

So here is the Mr. 1st grader. He is getting way to grown up.
He loves eating lunch at school. It is like the coolest thing ever for him.
So unfortunately summer vacation is over but hopefully the summer weather won't be over, seeing as how it just barely started.
